The operator is referred to in these Terms & Conditions as “BIBEX,” “we,” or “us.”

These Terms & Conditions govern paid memberships and access to BIBEX members-only services. Any specific conditions announced for a separate event or service may apply in addition to these terms.

2. Membership and Services

BIBEX offers a recurring membership providing access to an evolving program of online activities and digital content.

Membership benefits may include:

  • Live online Bible-related virtual tours, presentations, and educational events.

  • Access to live interpretation in selected languages, when available.

  • Access to selected event recordings for a limited period, where recording and distribution are permitted.

  • Members-only announcements, information, and community activities.

  • Additional digital resources made available through the members area.

BIBEX generally plans at least two live online events per month. Specific dates, speakers, topics, and languages are published in the Events & Programs section of the website.

The program may evolve over time. Membership does not guarantee access to a particular speaker, event, language, or recording unless expressly promised as part of the purchased service.

BIBEX is an independent educational and community initiative. Its programs do not constitute official publications or activities of any religious organization.

3. Membership Plans

BIBEX offers two membership options:

Basic Membership

The standard membership provides access to the core BIBEX members-only program and available content.

The indicative monthly price is €8 or CZK 250.

Supporter Membership

Supporter Membership provides the same core program access as Basic Membership. Its higher price is intended for members who voluntarily wish to contribute more toward the ongoing operation and development of BIBEX.

The indicative monthly price is €20 or CZK 500.

Supporter Membership does not automatically provide additional events, recordings, or exclusive privileges.

The actual subscription price, currency, payment frequency, and any applicable taxes will be displayed during checkout before the customer confirms the purchase. The amount shown at checkout is the amount agreed upon for the subscription.

4. Registration and Account Access

To purchase a membership, customers must provide accurate registration and payment information.

Membership begins once the initial payment has been successfully processed and access has been activated.

Members are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login information and for activity carried out through their accounts.

Membership accounts may not be sold, transferred, or shared publicly.

BIBEX may take reasonable measures to prevent unauthorized access or misuse, including temporarily restricting access while suspected misuse is investigated.

5. Family and Household Access

A membership is intended for personal use by the member and their immediate family or household.

Each membership permits a maximum of two simultaneous connections to a members-only live event or protected content.

This arrangement is intended to allow family members to enjoy BIBEX activities together, including reasonable situations in which close family members participate from nearby locations.

It does not authorize unlimited individual access for extended family members, friends, unrelated households, or other third parties.

BIBEX does not require members to register two specific physical devices. The limitation concerns simultaneous connections.

Members are responsible for ensuring that anyone using their membership complies with these Terms & Conditions.

6. Payments and Automatic Renewal

BIBEX memberships are recurring monthly subscriptions.

Payments are processed through Stripe or another payment provider identified during checkout.

By purchasing a recurring membership, the customer authorizes the payment provider to charge the agreed subscription amount automatically at each renewal, until the subscription is canceled.

The first payment is collected when the membership is purchased. Subsequent payments are generally scheduled on a monthly basis according to the payment provider’s billing arrangements.

The applicable amount, currency, and billing frequency are displayed before purchase.

Any currency conversion charges or fees imposed by the customer’s bank or payment provider are outside BIBEX’s control.

If a recurring payment fails, access may be temporarily suspended until payment is successfully completed.

BIBEX will provide appropriate advance notice of changes to recurring subscription prices and will respect applicable consumer rights.

7. Canceling Membership

Members may cancel their recurring subscription at any time through the available account or subscription-management facility.

Cancellation is free of charge and does not require a notice period.

Once cancellation has been completed:

  • No further subscription renewal payments will be scheduled.

  • Membership access will normally remain active until the end of the current paid billing period.

  • Membership access will expire at the end of that period unless the subscription is reactivated.

Cancellation of future renewals does not automatically entitle the member to a proportional refund for an unused part of the current billing period.

This does not affect any statutory withdrawal, refund, or other consumer rights.

Members who experience difficulties canceling their subscription may contact BIBEX for assistance.

8. Right of Withdrawal and Immediate Access

Consumers purchasing a membership online may have a statutory right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days, subject to applicable legal exceptions.

BIBEX provides access to its members area immediately after successful payment. Membership may include both digital content and ongoing online services.

Where permitted by applicable law, customers may expressly request that the provision of services or digital content begin before the statutory withdrawal period expires.

For digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, the statutory right of withdrawal may be lost once provision begins, provided all applicable legal conditions have been met, including the required prior express consent, acknowledgment, and confirmation.

For ongoing services or other elements of the membership, different withdrawal rules may apply. Immediate activation of a membership does not, by itself, eliminate all statutory withdrawal rights.

Where a consumer validly withdraws after expressly requesting the commencement of services during the withdrawal period, BIBEX may be entitled to payment for services already provided, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits a statutory right of withdrawal where such exclusion or limitation is not legally permitted.

Withdrawal requests may be submitted to the contact email listed in Section 1. Where a statutory right of withdrawal applies, BIBEX will provide the required information and withdrawal procedure.

9. Live Events and Program Changes

BIBEX makes reasonable efforts to deliver its published program as announced.

However, changes may occasionally be necessary due to circumstances such as speaker unavailability, illness, technical difficulties, or other unforeseen events.

BIBEX may make reasonable changes to event dates, speakers, topics, or formats and will endeavor to inform members in a timely manner.

If a scheduled event cannot take place, BIBEX will make reasonable efforts to arrange a suitable alternative program or reschedule the event.

If a substantial part of the promised program cannot be provided, affected members may contact BIBEX to discuss an appropriate remedy, including compensation where applicable.

Nothing in this section limits members’ statutory rights in the event of nonperformance or defective performance.

10. Recordings and Digital Content

Selected live events may be recorded and made available to members for a limited period, generally approximately three days following the event.

Recordings are provided only where permitted by the speaker, content owner, and any other relevant rights holders.

Question-and-answer sessions and personal discussions are generally not included in published recordings.

Not all live events will be recorded, and access to a recording is not guaranteed unless expressly stated.

Available recordings and other digital materials may be added, updated, replaced, or removed as part of the evolving membership program, subject to applicable contractual and consumer rights.

Unless expressly authorized, members may not download, record, copy, redistribute, publish, sell, or share protected BIBEX content or access links outside the permitted membership arrangements.

11. Languages and Interpretation

BIBEX is an international community. Its programs are primarily offered in English, with interpretation into other languages where arrangements and resources permit.

Available interpretation languages may vary from event to event.

Interpretation is provided to facilitate participation and understanding. BIBEX cannot guarantee that interpretation will be available in every requested language or remain uninterrupted throughout an event.

Members should consult the event description for information about available languages.

12. Technical Requirements

Members are responsible for having a suitable device, internet connection, and any software reasonably necessary to access BIBEX services.

Live events may be delivered through Zoom or other online platforms.

BIBEX makes reasonable efforts to maintain access to its services but cannot guarantee that third-party platforms or internet connections will operate without interruption.

Members experiencing technical problems should contact BIBEX as soon as reasonably possible.

Technical issues attributable to BIBEX or its service providers will be addressed in accordance with applicable consumer rights.

13. Community Conduct

BIBEX aims to provide a welcoming and respectful international environment.

Members are expected to treat speakers, organizers, and fellow participants with courtesy and respect.

Harassment, abusive behavior, unauthorized promotion, deliberate disruption, and unauthorized sharing of members-only content are not permitted.

BIBEX may take proportionate measures in response to serious or repeated violations, including warnings, removal from individual events, or suspension or termination of membership.

Any termination affecting paid access will be handled fairly and in accordance with applicable law.

14. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the materials provided through BIBEX are protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.

Rights in presentations, photographs, recordings, and other materials may belong to BIBEX, individual speakers, or third-party rights holders.

Membership provides a limited, personal, nontransferable right to access authorized content for the permitted membership period.

No ownership or broader distribution rights are transferred to members.

15. Personal Data and Privacy

BIBEX processes personal data as necessary to administer memberships, provide services, communicate with members, and meet applicable legal obligations.

Additional information about personal data processing, service providers, retention periods, and data protection rights is provided in the BIBEX Privacy Policy.

Payment information is processed through the relevant payment provider in accordance with its applicable terms and privacy information.

16. Complaints and Consumer Rights

Members may submit questions or complaints concerning BIBEX services using the contact email provided in Section 1.

BIBEX will review complaints and respond within the time limits required by applicable law.

Consumers retain all mandatory rights relating to the conformity and provision of digital content and services, remedies for nonperformance, and other statutory protections.

For eligible consumer disputes arising from contracts with a Czech business, the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce, www.coi.cz) is generally the competent entity for alternative dispute resolution, unless another entity has jurisdiction over the particular dispute.

17. Changes to These Terms

BIBEX may update these Terms & Conditions to reflect changes in legislation, technology, payment arrangements, or the operation of its services.

The current version will be published on the BIBEX website.

Material changes affecting an existing subscription will be communicated in advance where required by law.

Changes will not retroactively deprive members of rights already acquired, and members will retain any mandatory right to reject a change or terminate their contract.

18. Governing Law

BIBEX is operated from the Czech Republic in accordance with applicable Czech law.

Membership agreements are governed by Czech law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rights that may apply in the member’s country of habitual residence.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions restricts a consumer’s rights concerning jurisdiction or access to legal remedies where such restrictions are prohibited by applicable law.
